The Coxsbazar District Press Club celebrates its first anniversary and it also honors freedom fighter Nurul Huda by presenting him a crest on his honor.

The CBDPC also hands over the crests to its lifetime members in this occasion.

The freedom fighter Nurul Huda is a patroniser and a Donor member of Teknaf Pilot high school.

He is also a life time member of Coxsbazar District Press Club who did his jobs that bestowed upon him with honesty and dedication for many years.

The honorary crest was handed over to him by another life time member of Coxsbazar District Press Club Nurul Hossain.

The congregation of journalist and the civil society was held on March 11 , Saturday at Shahid Shubash hall in Public Library Cox’s Bazar ,presided by its president Fazlul Qader Choudhury.

Ekushe award winner Dr, Monoronjon Ghosal was present as a chief guest at the function.
The program was hosted by the vice president of CBDPC Faridul Alam Shahin, where many speakers delivered their speeches including the chief speaker former MP , Abdur Rahman Badi.
‘ the journalist must come out of nepotism, Yellow journalism , they have to be brave enough to write against the corruption and corruptors’ says the formar MP.
A dream, an smart , a communal, a corruption free Bangladesh must be built which will be valued with spirit of our sacred independence war.
The Coxsbazar District Press Club has to play an important role to achieve those goals’.

The charming speaker , humanitarian leader Shaheli Parvin in her speech said’ we have to be more passionate to girls and Children and we cant go beyond the ethics of journalism’.

The witness of international war crime tribunal Robindra Lal Dey, the Coxsbazar District Press Club secretary HM Ershad, the assistant director of Coast Trust Zahangeer Alam, every Upazilla Press Club president also delivered their speeches at the event .

The Cox’s Bazar , Bandharban liberation war commander Captain Abdu Subhan, the first martyr of the war in this region Muhammad Sharif Chairman ( Portsmouth) were also given the honorary crests.

This is the first time the family of Sharif has received such honorary achievement after 52 years of the independence war.

A training on Journalism and certificates distribution also took place at the event on the second phase of the itinerary.

The event came to end with a joyous cultural music and magic show displayed by Coxsbazar District Press Club member Ramzan Ali .
